Remains is a beautiful collection of atmospheric and richly organic ambient music originally performed and recorded by peter james.

Dean Richards aka Disturbed Earth has taken the original source recordings for this album and went about remixing and re-arranging using his own analog processes with a very tactile and intimate method. The result is a gorgeous album teeming with brilliant washes of sound and swirling atmospherics. The original source of all of these pieces is bass guitar. Amazing, but quite true.

These two artists are remarkable in their talents to create such richly textured ambient music without the use of synthesizers, computers, or digital samplers. Their music is created by bass guitar & electric 6 string guitar, using old school tape looping and analog recording techniques. This is quite refreshing to have a listening experience that utilizes these techniques, in stark contrast to the often overly sterilized digital music we often hear today.
