This limited edition multimode EP gathers material recorded during the "tumbleweed obfuscated by camera failure" sessions and includes alternate versions of 'Magnetism', 'Earth & Clay', the original version of 'Echo Canyon', a new environmental sketch and a remix of 'Vanishing Terrain'. The media section of this CD includes a gallery of photos taken at Chaco Canyon, New Mexico, a number of printer ready photos and additional music in mp3 format. This release is limited to 100 copies.
"Listening to these five cuts ... has a simply narcotic effect--knowing what it's like leaves the listener needing more... A fine introduction to the music of Aperus" John Shanahan, Hypnagogue
"A strong CD-EP and a real joy to listen to... a real produced & proper addition to the full-length Tumbleweed release... the additional photos and extra MP3-tracks make this release a must-have for all ambient fans." Bert Strolenberg, E-dition Magazine
"Whether recording as Aperus or Remanenece, Brian McWilliams has a distinct sound. Fast moving without being "pulsing", tribal without the "tribes", this is multi-layered "energy music". Each listening session yields sounds previously undiscovered." Gordon Danis, Customer Review
"Chris has a way of merging sounds that suck the listener in never knowing where the next turn may be." Customer Review
"This is an exceptional CD - one of my all time favorites. It has that rare ability to transform you from the real world into a shadow world. I absolutely love having this disc play on autorepeat all night as I sleep knowing I will wake several times and be carried off again. It is one of those rare ambient recordings that can work well at soft levels - merging with the background and setting a subtle mood or be played louder and attended to for a real listening pleasure." DJAmbient, Customer Review
